Seesaw is a learning portfolio that is accessible online. Teachers can create content and activities that allow students to demonstrate their learning. Seesaw also has a library of activities that teachers can copy and assign to students or modify to meet the needs of their students. Students can create content by incorporating embedded tools such as photos, notes, videos, and so on. Depending on the device, students may also have access to annotation tools.
Examples of usages:
- Students are completing a writing assignment. The student can photograph their writing piece and then record themselves reading the text in the Seesaw app.
- Students are completing a math project. They can take a picture of themselves and record themselves explaining the problem.
- Students take a selfie and then add text to describe themselves.
- Students can use the draw tool to create a sketch of their goals for the year.
- Students are conducting a scientific experiment. They photograph it and use labels and text to explain the process.
- Students can photograph their artwork and post it to their journals. Their peers can make comments and provide feedback.
